Termite Activity Levels for United States

Termite Season is here! With Spring on the horizon termite activity levels rise. These pests live majority of their lives in the ground foraging for food. Some lucky termites get the opportunity to be free and leave the colony to fly off and hopefully mate, build a new colony of termites. These termites are called Swarmers and when the conditions are right, they move on to infest other areas with termites.

If damage from termites is not visible than you may not know you have termites. Usually the first sign of termites comes in the form of these swarmers leaving their bodies, wings all over the place. If you see these than you are in need of a termite treatment. Even though the swarmers are not destructive termites, they become Kings and Queens of colonies that will produce the worker termites that destroy the structures we build.

An ODAFF1 Report is not a Nuisance Wildlife Report and does not show damages from wildlife animals or if wildlife animals are living in the home or structure.

If Termites are found is a treatment plan offered?  YES, If Termites are found or evidence of Termites or prior infestation of Termites a treatment plan will be offered.

How soon do I get the Termite Inspection Report?  All ODAFF1 Inspections will be done at time of service and emailed immediately to the purchaser of the report and all parties the buyer requests the report be sent to.

Does a report cost more for a crawl space home?  YES, there is an addition charge for crawl space homes.

Termite Control in Tulsa, Broken Arrow, Bixby and Jenks

Termite Control in Tulsa, Broken Arrow, Bixby and Jenks

Termite season starts when the humidity and temperatures hit just right to send Alates, Swarmer Termites in search for new nesting grounds. These Termites have wings and typically go with the wind in the quest to reproduce. The wings of these termites are not strong and do not stay attached. They are only temporary wings to help glide them to a new nesting area to infest.

Here in the Tulsa, Broken Arrow, Bixby and Jenks area Termites begin in full swarm in late February and continue to swarm on into the summer. Usually the first swarm comes when we have that first mild weather with heavy amounts of humidity. If you have a swarm come from your home then you have a infestation of termites already established. Treatment is absolutely needed to get the infestation under control.

If you are the unlucky home owner or business owner who gets the swarm of new termites looking for new ground then you might just consider a termite treatment before the termites establish themselves and begin doing termite damage. Here in Oklahoma it's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when. Termites live all around us. Termites are vital the the natural decomposition of trees and organic matter. We need termites but don't need them eating away at our homes, building, structures.

If you find termites, flying termites, then consider calling EnviroTech Exterminating. Our termite control program is top notch using the best products available in the pest control industry. Don't leave your home at the mercy of these pests and don't leave your home at the mercy of a company that uses inferior, lower cost products. You pay dearly for your home and a cheap termite treatment may last 4-6 years but a good termite treatment can last 10-15 years. You may save a couple hundred dollars initially but in the long run, that low cost, lower quality product will only mean you have to pay again and do it all over in the near future.

If you have a need for Termite Control then Call EnviroTech Exterminating at (918) 282-7621 Today to get your Termite Treatment plan started. Termite Inspections in Tulsa, Broken Arrow, Bixby & Jenks Oklahoma

Termite Inspections in Tulsa, Oklahoma

For many buying a home in the Tulsa, Broken Arrow, Bixby or Jenks area requires a clear termite report. Lenders typically will require a clear termite inspection report. This report in Oklahoma is called the ODAFF1 and ODAFF2. The ODAFF1 is the report done by a termite inspection company such as EnviroTech Exterminating. This report is provided to the lender and will either show a clear report or a report requiring a treatment to be performed on the property. Certain requirements may be written in the report even if termites are not found. Some of these requirements may be due to wood to ground contact, excessive moisture and other conditions conducive to termites and or termite infestations.

The Oklahoma ODAFF2 is a follow-up report for homes that either termite damage, termites or wood destroying insects have been found or conditions conducive have been fixed. These forms sometimes can include a Moisture Damage Report if necessary.

Sometimes a report may call for a termite treatment even though a treatment may have done at some time in the past. If the home has evidence of damage, termites and a treatment was performed at some time then proper paper work should be available from the termite company that provided the service. If the owner/seller has kept up the warranty then the termite company that did the treatment will usually provide the clear termite certificate.
