Termite Activity Levels for United States

Termite Season is here! With Spring on the horizon termite activity levels rise. These pests live majority of their lives in the ground foraging for food. Some lucky termites get the opportunity to be free and leave the colony to fly off and hopefully mate, build a new colony of termites. These termites are called Swarmers and when the conditions are right, they move on to infest other areas with termites.

If damage from termites is not visible than you may not know you have termites. Usually the first sign of termites comes in the form of these swarmers leaving their bodies, wings all over the place. If you see these than you are in need of a termite treatment. Even though the swarmers are not destructive termites, they become Kings and Queens of colonies that will produce the worker termites that destroy the structures we build.

If you are in the process of purchasing a new home then you likely need an Oklahoma ODAFF1 Wood Infestation Report for peace of mind and the lender requirements.

What is the form ODAFF1?  The Oklahoma form ODAFF1 is a report that lenders typically require for the purchase of a home. It's been called a Termite Report, Termite Certificate, Wood Infestation Report and many other things. It is not a Wood Rot Report. Wood Rot falls under another inspection report that is usually requested on the buyers behalf.

So, is an ODAFF1 Report alway's required of a lender?  NO but even if not required it is a good idea to get this inspection done when purchasing a home.

What does a ODAFF1 report cover?  All visible areas of the home and accessible areas. Areas that are locked or have clutter, low crawl spaces and other areas are exempted from the report.

An ODAFF1 Report is not a Nuisance Wildlife Report and does not show damages from wildlife animals or if wildlife animals are living in the home or structure.

If Termites are found is a treatment plan offered?  YES, If Termites are found or evidence of Termites or prior infestation of Termites a treatment plan will be offered.

How soon do I get the Termite Inspection Report?  All ODAFF1 Inspections will be done at time of service and emailed immediately to the purchaser of the report and all parties the buyer requests the report be sent to.

Does a report cost more for a crawl space home?  YES, there is an addition charge for crawl space homes.

Termidor® H•E High Efficiency Termiticide Copack with Termidor HE Technology

The most effective is now the most efficient
For more than a decade, Termidor® termiticide/insecticide has set the standard for termite control efficacy. Now, Termidor HE Copackredefines termiticide application precision, volume, labor and time. New molecular technology creates an Enhanced Protection Zone with less water, smaller trenches, wider drill hole spacing, and shallower treatment depths. For you, this means improved productivity, more efficient use of equipment and resources, and better business flexibility.

General Information

The First Termidor Application Change in Eight YearsThe last major application change came in 2004 with the Termidor EP/LI label (PerimeterPLUS™). Now,Termidor HE Copack takes liquid termiticide application to the next level.

It is applied using half the water** of a PerimeterPLUS application, with no reduction in active ingredient to the soil. It allows for 77% smaller trenches, 33% fewer drill holes, and 50% shallower minimum treatment depths.

These radically streamlined application techniques are made possible by the unique chemistry of Termidor HE Copack that helps improve the dispersal of active ingredient and creates an Enhanced Protection Zone.

*These numbers are based on the most conservative estimates. For many PMPs, real-world labor savings may be significantly greater.
**For most labeled applications.

Advantages of Termidor HE Copack

Less Water: 2 Gallons Per 10 Linear Feet

In the case of a 200 linear foot home, as few as 40 gallons (333 pounds) of finished solution are needed withTermidor HE Copack, versus as many as 80 gallons (666 pounds) with industry standard treatments*.
Smaller Trenches: 2-inches Deep by 4-inches Wide

In the case of a 200 linear foot home, the amount of soil that needs to be removed and replaced withTermidor HE Copack is approximately one ton less than with industry standard treatments.
(Calculations based on average weight of soil at 78 pounds per cubic foot.)
Wider Spacing for Drilling and Rodding:18-inches

For every 10 linear feet, 3.3 fewer drill holes are required with Termidor HE Copack versus industry standard treatments. This means, for a 200 linear foot home, as many as 66 fewer drill holes, or 33% fewer drill holes, are required.
Shallower Minimum Treatment Depth: 2-FeetFor footings more than 2 feet below grade, trench/rod into the trench or trench alone along foundation to minimum depth of 2 feet. Like with other Termidor products, depth of treatment will vary depending on various factors (see label).
*“Industry standard treatments” refers to Termidor SC or Termidor 80 WG.

Tulsa Termite Control

Termite Control and Treatment in Tulsa, Oklahoma

Termites are a serious problem in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Termite activity starts when these foraging pests find the food they are looking for. Multiple colonies of termites can live on a single acre of land. This means you may not be dealing with just one family of termites but multiple ones.

Treatment for these pests can range from bait station systems to full perimeter treatments with products available from many different manufactures. The best of these products work by a transfer effect making the entire colony at risk for eradication by using the termites social instinctive behaviors. After all the workers are responsible for feeding and doing all the work for the entire colony. Bring in a product that slowly transfers from one to the other will soon end up with the queen.

Since termite work requires special knowledge and products that are regulated by the EPA it is required for a pest control company to be licensed in structural pest management. EnviroTech Exterminating is licensed to provide these services. Our knowledge of termites, the products available and attention to detail make EnviroTech the premium pest control firm in the Tulsa area for performing such services. Termite Control in Tulsa, Broken Arrow, Bixby and Jenks

Termite Control in Tulsa, Broken Arrow, Bixby and Jenks

Termite season starts when the humidity and temperatures hit just right to send Alates, Swarmer Termites in search for new nesting grounds. These Termites have wings and typically go with the wind in the quest to reproduce. The wings of these termites are not strong and do not stay attached. They are only temporary wings to help glide them to a new nesting area to infest.

Here in the Tulsa, Broken Arrow, Bixby and Jenks area Termites begin in full swarm in late February and continue to swarm on into the summer. Usually the first swarm comes when we have that first mild weather with heavy amounts of humidity. If you have a swarm come from your home then you have a infestation of termites already established. Treatment is absolutely needed to get the infestation under control.

If you are the unlucky home owner or business owner who gets the swarm of new termites looking for new ground then you might just consider a termite treatment before the termites establish themselves and begin doing termite damage. Here in Oklahoma it's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when. Termites live all around us. Termites are vital the the natural decomposition of trees and organic matter. We need termites but don't need them eating away at our homes, building, structures.

If you find termites, flying termites, then consider calling EnviroTech Exterminating. Our termite control program is top notch using the best products available in the pest control industry. Don't leave your home at the mercy of these pests and don't leave your home at the mercy of a company that uses inferior, lower cost products. You pay dearly for your home and a cheap termite treatment may last 4-6 years but a good termite treatment can last 10-15 years. You may save a couple hundred dollars initially but in the long run, that low cost, lower quality product will only mean you have to pay again and do it all over in the near future.

If you have a need for Termite Control then Call EnviroTech Exterminating at (918) 282-7621 Today to get your Termite Treatment plan started. Our professionals prefer to use Termidor for the treatment and control of Termites. With Termidor you can rest well assured that your Termite issues are under control.

  7. How would you apply your products to control my infestation? Answer: Methods differ with the type of ant and location of the nest.
